Who We Are: We
are a California non-profit organization (501C3). We rescue cats and dogs
predominantly from our local shelter (Lancaster, CA). All of our animals are
spayed or neutered, with shots and are usually micro chipped. As of spring, 2005
we will be relocating within the area. Due to this, we are currently only doing
minimal adoptions until we have relocated. We will be building kennels in order
to help provide a place for homeless animals in the near future. We welcome any
tax-deductible contributions toward the development of our new facility. We are
in need of construction materials particularly chain-link fencing, fence posts
and other related materials. We appreciate the donations and support in our
endeavor to continue to help the plight of homeless and unwanted animals

New Leash on Life
Newhall, CA
661-255-0097
Adopting a friend:
One of our main objectives at New Leash on Life is to place the right animal
with the right owner. Too often, we find that people make rash decisions about
getting a pet. Either they aren't ready to make a lifetime commitment to that
pet or they get an animal that doesn't fit their lifestyle or, in their minds,
isn't "perfect."
Our animals remain New Leash on Life animals for their lifetime. If the animal
is not compatible, for whatever reason, with its new owner or home, the animal
must be returned to New Leash on Life.
Anyone wishing to adopt one of our animals must go through the following
procedures:
·
Fill out our adoption application.
·
Have an interview with a New Leash on Life representative.
·
Have a Home Check to insure the home is safe for the animal.
·
Make a tax-deductible donation. (We ask for $200 minimum for dog and $85 for
cats.)
Our dogs generally are up to date on all vaccinations and have been spayed or
neutered
